Today Gunnar and I explored the Kabouterroute which starts and ends just five minutes from our house. Thanks for letting us know about it, Dirk! It was great. Check out the Kabouterboom above. It's the thickest tree in the Netherlands and almost 500 years old.

Visitors From Friesland

Today we had visitors from Friesland. Two normal sized people (Rita and Menne) and two small ones (their sons Sjoerd-Jan and Hendrik). That was a good opportunity for me to practise handling little fellows. After a while I got the hang of it and quite enjoyed having them around. So I think I'm ready for our baby now.

Hide and Seek

New Challenge

Hi all, we hope you're as fine as we are. The baby grows very quickly now (as does Margriet's belly) and he/she parties on a regular basis. Less than four months and there will be four of us - exciting! Look at the picture above. My people taught me a new game. They hide a treat under a wooden mug and I have to find it. That's not easy I can tell you. Particularly because I'm not allowed to knock the mug over with my snout. I have to lift it to get the treat! Challenging, but fun. Margriet is still very busy bringing forward her research. Furthermore she decided to stop working mid April to prepare herself for the birth. Gunnar is in the process of getting a Dutch tennis coaching licence and additionally very excited about all the ongoing sports events: handball (European Championships), tennis (Australian Open), football (Premier League, Bundesliga), biathlon. And it won't be long until the Six Nations tournament (rugby), the Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver and the cycling season start ...

Today I Helped Out in the Garden Once More

This morning something looked strange in our garden. It had snowed heavily again overnight and our sunshades had come down. I had been telling my people all week to put them away, but of course they didn't listen. Now it's official: They are unexperienced, young house owners. I helped them tidy up anyway.
