Roof

It was very sunny and warm today. We didn't have that kind of weather for a while so we decided spontaneously to use our neighbours' roof for a cup of tea outside. Cowley Road looks very different from above I must say.

Research

Almost every morning Margriet tells me that she has to leave our place to do research. But what does that mean exactly? I eventually decided to find out. The goal is to discover which side of the brain is used for language in children with Down syndrome. At the moment Margriet drives around in a huge car which contains an entire lab to collect data from kids all over England. It's lots of fun to visit families in their homes even though she has to get up really early. Afterwards, she goes back to her office at the university and analyses the data on her computer. The results are not known yet, but so far Margriet's research looks promising and she enjoys herself very much.

Smudge

This time I'd like to introduce Britt and Smudge, my other best friend in Oxford, to you. They originally come from a place called America which is pretty far away apparently. We get along great! It's nearly springtime now so we went for a nice walk at Port Meadow this afternoon. I even shared my place in the back of our car with Smudge. Brilliant!

Happy Birthday!

Today it's Margriet's birthday. We had a very nice breakfast and Margriet got many presents from her friends, family and us. I helped unpacking of course. She looked quite pleased. In the evening Margriet and Gunnar are going out for dinner at Chutney's, an Indian restaurant in the city centre, while I'll be guarding our home.

My Hips Are Fine

Today we went to the vet to make X-ray photographs of my hips, which is normal for dogs of my age. I don't like being sedated particularly, but the doctor was very nice and competent so the procedure went smoothly. The result was even better: I've got excellent hips and am in great shape! Naturally, my people, Elke & Co and me are very pleased as I can do anything in future without having to worry about wobbly hips. Nothing's gonna stop me now ;-) !!!

Cambridge

This weekend we visited Carola and Paul in Cambridge. We went for a very nice walk through the city centre and our guides did an excellent job. Lots of impressions and we even found a nice place where I was able to stretch my legs. Very thoughtful! We'd like to thank our hosts and especially Steph, Carola's housemate, who let us sleep in her room. We had a great time with you :-) !!!

This Looks Familiar

We do have colleges like this one in Oxford too. Apparently, there's a big rivalry between the two universities. I don't mind actually.

The River Cam

Sushi

Carola, Margriet, Paul and Gunnar had self-made sushi for dinner. Very exciting and so yummy!

Fireworks

Later on, the two couples behaved rather strangely. They used clementine peelings to create small fireworks. I have no idea what that was about, but they seemed to have a lot of fun.

Best Friend

Today I want to introduce my best friend to you. Her name is Flo and playing with her is just great. By the way, don't worry about your screen. It's not broken, but nobody stands a chance of taking sharp pictures of us when we're chasing each other.

Flood

Weird - a few days ago I had so much fun playing in the snow (see below), but today Angel and Greyhound Meadow, one of my favourite places in Oxford, was flooded. Can someone explain this to me please?

Long Time No See

Long time no see, folks. We're fine, but my people were very busy. At least, that's what they're telling me.

We went for another walk though and visited Churchill's resting place in Bladon.
