Research
Almost every morning Margriet tells me that she has to leave our place to do research. But what does that mean exactly? I eventually decided to find out. The goal is to discover which side of the brain is used for language in children with Down syndrome. At the moment Margriet drives around in a huge car which contains an entire lab to collect data from kids all over England. It's lots of fun to visit families in their homes even though she has to get up really early. Afterwards, she goes back to her office at the university and analyses the data on her computer. The results are not known yet, but so far Margriet's research looks promising and she enjoys herself very much.
